Petko, I do not see a single reason why some should be trading manually. Seriously.  We are in the 21st century, we have the MetaTrader, the Strategy builders and unstoppable internet. :)

Trying to trade manually when there are the Expert Advisors is like riding the car of Flintstone when there are regular cars.

Hello Mery, well if you have used the Walk Forward Optimization and you get any of the strategies from the collection, it means that the strategy already passed the Walk Forward Optimization. And you are doing WF optimization on the one that is already optimized.

This is why you do not see a better strategy because you are trying to optimize with WF the one that is already optimized. It is not the original one that you are having in the collection. We do not see the original because it was changed from the WF optimizer.

    Hope that helps.

In the beginning, I was only using Petko’s EAs. It took me about 4 months before I could create really sustainable EAs with good results. It was a matter of collecting the Historical data. When I look back in time I guess this was the main reason why I was failing to get robust strategies.

Don’t get me wrong, I am still using his EAs :)

You got only 8671 generated strategies? Why is that small number? Do you leave your browser behind or minimized? Sometimes this pauses the work of the generator. The browser needs to be active in front of you. For 10 hours you should be getting about 1 000 000 strategies, not 8k…

The other thing comes to my mind is that your computer is veeery slow. But I do not think that this is the reason because even it is extreeemely slow you should get more strategies than 8k..

    Hi Adam,

the trailing SL in EA Studio for the EAs works great. I would not really bother the code( I know some basic MQL but not enough to mess it).

So what I would if I were you is to generate EAs with trailing SL in the generator settings. This way you will assure you do not have problems, no need for additional EAs.

    Hey Petko,

this sounds really interesting to meet you in person. I wish you make a seminar in the UK. I will be 100% there. Japan is so far :)

Anyway if you have announced that earlier I would have organized a trip combined with a week there. Last year I visited The Philippines and I was planning anyway this year another country in Asia.

It is great to have it now. I retested all of my EAs and removed 20% of them. Now I will need to catch it up with the number, but I always use it in the Reactor as you showed Petko!

    Hello fellows,

I wanted to know if someone created strategies with FSB Pro using different indicators for the different time frames. For example, if we trade on M5 using RSI, is it ok to place MACD on M15, CCI on H1, and MA on H4.

or is it better to keep using the RSI on all time frames may be with different parameters?

    Hello Roman,

You can always drop a suggestion to Popov at the wish list. I know currently they put more energy into EA Studio but I do not think something more and essential will be updated there. It’s already complete software.

Also, what you can do is to generate the strategies with the powerful Reactor in EA Studio and add some longer and lower time frame filters to the best strategies with FSB Pro. I create some of my good and constant EAs in this way.

    Hello Ossaio,

I see that you got in FSB Pro in details which is awesome! I like the way you approached creating a strategy for different time frames and currency pairs. This might be work for you now, but might be a time saver in the future.

Brokers are always an issue but if you stick with the major currencies, you will get the small spread. Keep in mind not to put all the exposure to the USD.

    Hello Roman,

thank you very much for the information and for sharing your experience. I am sure it will take me time, and I am quite serious in trading for the last few years so I hope I will be in tune with the software in the next 1-2 months.

I am just exploring the OOS function(Petko’s videos about it are awesome). It is very hard for me to twist my trading style but I see that this is the right path and I am confidents I am in the right place.

It is very motivating to hear you made this profit. It is a very good profit for 4 months!!! Some professional traders I know, fellows of mine, aim at 20% per year. Of course, they trade with huge accounts.

As soon as I see what works for me, I will share it in details.

    Regards,

    Laila

    Hello Petko,

After a couple of your courses, I realized that it’s not the idea to use all of them but few. Also, it depends on what value we will set.

I spend reading the forum(great and very positive), watching the courses and practicing. I have a much better idea of how to use the two software.
