ParticipantHello Allan,
Thanks for this.
Sorry if you’ve already answered this but just to double check that your original post in this thread refers to the performance of the FTMO EA straight out of the box with the original settings and no modifications? This was a month ago so is there an update on the performance since then? I ask because I see some people on other threads complaining of slow activity.

ParticipantHowever, that being said the Studio EA is on three charts with a big smiley face and not trading even though they are all on the H1 time frame and the computer has been running for several hours. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

ParticipantSo yes. After turning off all the firewalls the EA works. However Fundednext now admit that their platform is not in fact a VPS. I think that I will use AWS Amazon becuse the first 12 months are free and it is a large reputable company. So thanks for your help.
David Hanlon
ParticipantI don’t know but I also have the same suspicion. I will disable the firewalls on my lap-top and see if that’s the case. I’ll let you know. thanks for the tip.

ParticipantI have a similar problem. I have a smiley face and a green arrow I am on Funded Next (using MT4) and they have twice confirmed that their platform is fine. I also have a bot from another provider which is also blocked. Ihey also assure me that everything is fine on their end. On the grid on which I placed their bot I get a small white screen and a flashing message alternating between blue and red at the botton which says “Searching for setup” . I want to get the FTMO bot but until I unblock this problem it will be sending good money after bad.
I’m pretty sure that the blockage is on my computer. It is a very old Sony Vasio. I have already emptied all the cookies so I cannot think how to solve this problem. Can anyone please help?

ParticipantThank you very much for taking the time to give such a full explanation. I guess it’s just bad timing then. I will persist with EAs. I’ve already posted a question on the Forum about the FTMO Robot. So if I’m lucky and qualify during some good months is it a matter of making hay while the sun shines and then getting wiped out during a bad one for failing to make enough profit? Once qualified does FTMO allow us to tread water during a bad month? Thanks again.

ParticipantHere it is. tps://eatradingacademy.com/robots/f…It is from the video “Best Forex EA for Prop Firms (+ FREE ROBOT)”. Your help is much appreciated.

ParticipantThanks for your help but I am now out of the time. The EA studio has an unbroken record of failure losing every single last trade it has entered over a two month period. It has been a complete and unmitigated catastrophy. Does anyone know if Petko’s paid FTMO bot any better?
David Hanlon
ParticipantNo, it is the free Studio EA he offered on Youtube that works on MT4. Should I switch to this new EA? If so where can I find it?How has that been performing?
David Hanlon
ParticipantI have turned on the EA Studio bot (EU-USD) and it’s still losing! Fortunately I have adjusted the lot size to 0.01. Do you have any idea’s why this is still happening or what I could possibly do to change things? Thanks in advance.
David Hanlon
ParticipantI’m also thinking of using MFF. In your view is the Studio EA a good tool for this?
David Hanlon
ParticipantAt present I can only think of using the Waka Waka as a cent account (0.01 lot size) until I build up a few hundred dollars and then hope that I can both beat the dead line and not draw down. A folorn hope but it I can’t think of any other options.

ParticipantThanks for your interest. I turned on the EA Studio for a few days. Fortunately, I reduced the lot size or I would have been wiped out. As it is I am at $9049. Also I have just been tole by the FTMO people that there is no extension for the Verification stage. So I have only until the July 7th and very little leeway. Do you have any ideas or suggestions?
David Hanlon
ParticipantHi Jaylon? Just wanted to check in. I had a disasterous week last week. Have you noticed any up tick?
David Hanlon
ParticipantThanks Petko. That’s great and very interesting info. It looks like it did very well overall except for that massive drawdown episode. But the fact that low risk setting can balance that risk is important. I will be very interested in future results on a live account. That’s always the acid test. Thanks again.
