ParticipantI would say a VPS is critical for EA-based trading.
Otherwise you have to ensure that your PC’s internet connection is really fast, with low latency to the broker’s server, that your PC is always running 24/7, and that the internet connection is very stable and never goes down. If your internet connection goes down your EA may not manage the trades properly and you may lose trades because of that.
You can find cheap VPS, like:
– Contabo
– Hetzner
– Hyonix
Make sure to select Windows OS.
MT5 can run on Linux using certain tools, but setting that up is not for beginners.

ParticipantOut-of-sample profit means this is the profit result obtained by the EA with new price data, which the EA had never seen before.
The EA is optimized with “in-sample” price data, up to a certain date. Beyond the end of the in-sample period, we are dealing with “future” or live price action, which was not used to optimize the EA.
The out-of-sample performance is an indication (but not a guarantee) of potential future performance.

ParticipantYou cannot judge the performance of an EA looking at the latest 4-5 trades. Every single existing EA will have drawdowns. Please try to understand we are dealing with a statistical or probabilistic business.

ParticipantEA’s should ideally run on a VPS (not a VPN, but a VPS). This is to prevent having issues due to power or internet outages in your home.
However, you should still be able to run the robot on your PC.
When you say it is not working, what exactly do you mean? What are you seeing?
