Dear traders,
We are excited to announce several important enhancements that we’ve added to the FTMO Robot. Our latest update, live in the FTMO App since yesterday, introduces advanced protections and input options designed to further safeguard your trading activities.
Here’s What’s New:
- Enhanced Maximum Daily Loss (Currency): This familiar feature now comes with an added functionality – it resets at a specific hour every day, giving you more control over your daily trading limits.
- Maximum Daily Drawdown %: We’ve introduced an equity drawdown protection that monitors and limits your daily drawdown in percentage terms, helping to better manage risk.
- Daily Reset Hour (Terminal): This new input allows you to set the exact time when the Daily Loss and Drawdown protections reset, aligning them with your trading strategy and schedule.
- Maximum Equity Drawdown %: To further secure your investment, we’ve implemented a feature that limits the maximum equity drawdown, reducing potential losses from unforeseen market movements.
Important: When any of these protection mechanisms is activated, the Robot will close all current positions and turn off automatically. This is to ensure your trading stays within the boundaries of your defined risk parameters.
Please visit the FTMO Robot App to update your Robot with these new features. It’s crucial to stay updated for optimal performance and enhanced protection.

Based on the error description, it appears to be a network-related issue with the news service. The Expert’s settings look fine. Please try to remove and reattach the expert or restart the MT terminal.

News Filter: We’ve listened to your feedback and added a News Filter to our robots. This feature ensures that during high-impact news events, the robots won’t initiate new trades, improving risk management while preserving your existing positions and order functionalities.

More Currency Pairs (Starting Feb 2023): Our new powerful machine, the Express Generator, is creating EAs for multiple currency pairs. Alongside our Top 10 EURUSD Forex robots, soon we will be introducing a new range of top-performing Forex robots for other major currency pairs, including GBPUSD, JPYUSD, and more. In the upcoming months we will release more top 10 EAs for commodities and cryptocurrencies as well. Don’t forget to subscribe to this topic, to get notified when the new currency pairs are live.

Hello Tanyeem, we replied to your email already but I’ll write this here to be helpful for any other user with a similar issue. In the order confirmation email you receive a link and password to download the EAs. You can also find this info in the Orders tab of your Account.
Hello Lucas, straight to your questions.
1) You have to test the 7 EAs+Gold EAs and see which one performs best currently, we can’t say which is the top performer because tomorrow it may not be.
2) If you use the default set files then it’s okay to trade with 3 EAs. The set files will allow a maximum daily drawdown of 1% per robot. If you want to be on the safe side, you can additioanly decrease the lots. For example if you want to have no more that 1% daily drawdown then you would need to divide every lot by 3 becuase you have 3 EAs running.
3) It is a personal choice if one will close trades manually. But personally we do not close trades during news. We are working on implementing the news into the EA.
